Peter Stavrovský - Senior partner
Peter Stavrovský advises clients in relation to acquisition, transfer and lease of real estates, he has led major greenfield and brownfield projects of construction and extension of manufacturing, logistics and administrative centers, and he also has led many acquisition projects for foreign investors. Peter is the specialist in the intellectual property law, he regularly advises clients on various issues of copyright, IT law, trademarks, including the registration and protection of trademarks, and represents clients in cases of unfair competition. Peter also advises clients on assessment of their contractual arrangements as potential cartel agreements and represents them in the related proceedings before the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic.
Peter received his law degree in 1983 from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. In the years 1983 – 1986 he worked at the District Court in Bratislava as a court officer, later as a judge. In the years 1987 – 1995 he had been working as the legal expert at the Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice, since 1993 as the Director of the Section of Legal Information. In the years 1995 – 1997 Peter worked in the Institute for Approximation of Law at the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic as the deputy director and later as the director of this Institute. In the year 1997 Peter joined the Law Firm ČERNEJOVÁ & HRBEK and since 1999 he has been associated with ČERNEJOVÁ & HRBEK as a partner.
Peter has been for many years a member of the editorial board of the journal Justičná revue and he has published a number of articles in this professional journal. Peter is a co-author of the Slovak chapter in the Globe Business Publishing Ltd. 2010 publication World Trademark Review – Anti-counterfeiting 2010. In the publication World Trademark Revue, Peter is repeatedly ranked as „highly recommended” expert in the Slovak Republic for IP law and trademarks.
